Some Benefits of Robo-Glove

The Robo-Glove is essentially a soft exoskeleton glove- inspired by NASA's Robonaut humanoid robot- that provides a power assist to workers who operate tools for extended periods, or who operate tools that require repetitive motions, such as automobile workers on assembly lines. The gloves offers 15-20 pounds of extra force and, in short bursts, up to 50 pounds. This allows workers to use a lighter grip for the most demanding tasks and reduces strain on muscles and ligaments.

Benefits

  • Wearable assist technology: a lightweight robotic glove that fits on your hand
  • Small and compact design
  • Human-safe robotics: pressure sensors give a sense of touch or haptic feedback
  • Self-contained glove: actuators, pressure sensor, and synthetic tendons are embedded
  • Ergonomic- the system helps reduce muscle strain from repetitive motion task
Application

  • Construction
  • Hazardous material handling
  • Medical
  • Automotive Repair
  • Manufacturing
  • Repetitive motion work
  • Oil and gas exploration
